Art Classes & Workshops
Learn to paint with more confidence, colour and light in my in-person workshops, painting tours and online classes.
My teaching is designed for artists who want to strengthen their foundations while developing a more expressive and personal response to their subject. I combine clear demonstrations, practical exercises and individual guidance to help you simplify what you see, make stronger colour and value decisions, and bring more atmosphere and life into your paintings.
Whether you are returning to painting, building confidence, or wanting to loosen up without losing structure, my classes are supportive, practical and encouraging. My aim is to help you grow at your own stage of the painting journey while giving you tools you can keep using long after the workshop ends.
Current Classes & Workshops
I offer a small number of live classes and in-person workshops throughout the year, along with self-paced online courses and occasional destination painting tours.

Current Workshops & Live Classes
This is where you’ll find my current in-person workshops and live Zoom classes. Depending on the season, this may include still life, landscape, florals, plein air or other painting subjects.
Online Courses
My self-paced online courses are ideal if you would like to learn in your own time, revisit lessons as often as you like, and work through more in-depth painting projects from home.
Painting Tours
For artists who want more than a one or two-day workshop, painting tours offer a deeper and more immersive learning experience.
Over several days, you have time to settle into a place, observe the changing light, gather ideas, paint on location and receive guidance as your work develops. Rather than rushing through a single exercise, you can build confidence gradually, revisit ideas, and learn how to respond more personally to the landscape around you.
I teach selected painting tours through my tour partners in beautiful destinations, where the practical details are organised for you so you can focus on painting, learning and enjoying the experience.

We focus on colour, tone, composition, brushwork and atmosphere, with guidance suitable for beginners through to more experienced painters.
