This two-day workshop focuses on the core skills needed to paint strong, atmospheric landscapes—both in the studio and en plein air.
About the Workshop
This comprehensive weekend workshop is designed for artists wanting to strengthen their landscape fundamentals and develop a clearer, more confident painting process.
Whether you’re working from reference photos or painting outdoors, we’ll cover practical techniques for simplifying complex scenes, handling colour (especially greens), and creating believable light, depth, and atmosphere.
Oil is my primary medium, and demonstrations will be given in oil.
However, acrylic artists regularly attend, and the instruction successfully translates across both mediums.

Materials
Please bring your usual painting supplies.
A detailed materials list will be sent upon registration, and I encourage students to use what they already have where possible.

Directions:
The venue is the first driveway after Boscombe Road and before the General Store. Enter through the white timber gate on the hill behind the Showground oval.
If you miss the turn-off, you can turn around at the roundabout at the end of the street.
