Join me for a relaxed and interactive 4-week online painting course, where you can paint alongside me from your own studio or home.
Designed to feel much like a regular painting class you might attend in your local community, each week we'll explore a different subject and painting concept — from still life and landscape to interiors or figures.
Rather than focusing on one type of subject, we'll develop the design, colour, observation and painting skills that can be applied across your painting practice.
I'll take you through my design process, explaining how I simplify, edit and compose a scene before and during the painting process. You'll be able to see both my painting surface and palette up close, ask questions and work on your own painting alongside the demonstration.
Can't make every class live? That's okay. All sessions are recorded, with replays available for 4 weeks after the final class.

How the Classes Work
Lessons are delivered live via Zoom. You don't need a Zoom subscription or account — you'll simply receive a link to join each class.

Individual critique through Google Classroom
I begin by discussing the design and demonstrating the early stages of the painting. You'll then have time to work on your own piece before I continue and complete the demonstration.
You don't need to finish your painting during class. Reference images, a photograph of my completed demonstration and the class replay are available afterwards so you can continue working at your own pace.
I paint in oils, but both oil and acrylic painters are welcome.
Zoom & Google Classroom
You'll need a computer, laptop or iPad, internet connection, and speakers or headphones.
Most devices already have everything you need. You are welcome to keep your camera off and simply watch my demonstration, or turn it on if you'd like to interact with the group and show your work.

Replays & Critiques
All four classes are recorded, so it's fine if you can't attend every session live.
Replays remain available for four weeks after the final class, giving you time to catch up or revisit the demonstrations.
Individual critiques are available during the course and for two weeks after the final live class. The Google Classroom and replays will be archived four weeks after the final class.
This is an interactive four-week course rather than a self-paced online course. While you're welcome to use the recordings when needed, joining live when you can gives you the opportunity to ask questions and paint alongside the group.

Cancellations & Refunds
As this is booked as a four-week program, refunds, credits or replacement classes are not available if you miss a session or are unable to attend. Replays are provided for any classes you cannot attend live.
If I am unable to teach a scheduled class, I will reschedule the session. If a replacement session cannot be provided, a proportionate refund will be offered.
