I was very lucky to be a finalist again in 2023 at the Clayton Utz Art Awards for my piece “No Grey Suits Today”. Such an honour with only 40 Qld artists being chosen each year.
This piece is a bit of a play on words. A grey suit is surf talk (so I’m told) for sharks but I love that it’s also a play on the fact that they’re not in the office wearing suits on this day and are surfing instead.
Oil on canvas, framed and ready to hang.
94cm (W) x 124cm (H) x 5cm (D)
Painting has been finished with a light coat of protective varnish. All photographs have been taken in natural lighting and all attempts have been made to represent the correct colouring - however variations are possible between different digital screens.
