Twice a year I participate in the "Strada Easel Challenge" where artists around the world spend the month painting only from life (no photographs). I've been painting in this challenge since 2017 and have found it to be a great work out for my painting practice and a great way to start the year.
This piece was completed on Day 17 and I had so much fun painting this geodesic apple! I’ve wanted one of these for ages. My husband and daughter found it for me at a thrift shop recently. Such a great find!!
Each plane has its own colour, value and temperature. Such a great exercise for practice.
I used a limited palate of cad yellow, ultramarine and cad red. And zinc white

The painting has been finished with a light coat of protective varnish. All photographs have been taken in natural lighting and all attempts have been made to represent the correct colouring - however variations are possible between different digital screens.
Please allow 3-5 days to be shipped. In some cases if purchase has taken place shortly after the piece was completed more drying time will be required. Most pieces are dry within 5-7 days. If the weather is not hot it can take a few extra days. Please take this into account with shipping times.
