A quick study of orange wedges painted late at night after a long day.
It is painted in oil paints on panel, plein air on location and finished with a light varnish.
Plein air paintings have a lovely loose energy and bold brush strokes due to the speed in which they are painted on location. This does also mean that occasionally they suffer small imperfections like a bug or finger print in the paint.
Paintings are photographed in natural light to represent colours as accurately as possible. Paint will need a frame to be hung but is sized to fit most common sizes of premade frames.
