I hate to waste so I have dried flowers all over my house from trips to the market. But they can be the best inspiration for a last minute painting in an art challenge. I love to incorporate ink and watercolour and had fun using neutral colours to show the faded beauty of this bloom.
Plein air paintings have a lovely loose energy and bold brush strokes due to the speed in which they are painted on location. This does also mean that occasionally they suffer small imperfections like a bug or finger print in the paint.
Paintings are photographed in natural light to represent colours as accurately as possible. Paint will need a frame to be hung but is sized to fit most common sizes of premade frames.
